1Who processes your data

Dekker Mastering, a sole proprietorship registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce under number 42127111, established at Brederode 104, 8226 TS Lelystad, the Netherlands. You can ask questions about your data at hello@dekkermastering.com.

2What we record and why

Your email address
To create your order, send you login links and communicate with you about your master. Without an email address we cannot carry out a commission. Legal basis: performance of the agreement.
Artist name, track title and your notes
So that we know what we are mastering and what you expect from it. We take these fields over unaltered — exactly as you enter them. Legal basis: performance of the agreement.
Invoicing details
Name, company name where applicable, address and VAT number, for your invoice and our administration. Legal basis: performance of the agreement and statutory retention obligation.
IP address and browser data at key actions
When you create your account, accept a master, request a revision and download, we record the time, the IP address and browser characteristics. That is our evidence that an action was genuinely performed by you — for example when a payment is disputed later on. Legal basis: legitimate interest (evidential position and fraud prevention).
Visit log
For every visit to the site we record: the IP address, the browser type, the page requested, the country, the referring site and the time. We use this for visitor statistics and to recognise abuse and automated traffic. The data is not shared with third parties and is not used for advertising. Legal basis: legitimate interest (operation and security of the site).

3Your audio files

The track you supply and the master we make from it are stored in a protected environment at Google Drive, in a separate folder for each customer. Only we have access to it. The complete master leaves our environment only after payment is confirmed; until then you hear short excerpts only.

Your music remains yours. We do not use your material for other purposes and do not share it with anyone, unless you expressly ask us to.

4Who we engage

To provide our service we use a limited number of parties. They process data solely on our instructions:

Our hosting provider
For the website, the database and the sending of email.
Google Drive
For the storage of audio files.
Our payment service provider
For handling payments. Your payment details reach them, not us; we receive only a confirmation and a reference.

5How long we keep it

Your account and order history
For as long as your account exists. If you request deletion, we delete what we are not legally required to keep.
Invoices and payment data
Seven years, on the basis of the statutory tax retention obligation.
Masters
Ninety days after delivery by default, so that you can request a second download if you lose the file.
Supplied raw material
Thirty days after acceptance by default.
Visit log
275 days (nine months). After that it is deleted automatically, leaving only daily totals without IP addresses.

6Cookies

We use two functional cookies: one to keep you logged in and one to remember your language choice. We place no advertising or analytics cookies and do not track you across other websites.

7Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to certain processing. You can also ask for your data to be transferred in a readable format.

Send a request to hello@dekkermastering.com. We respond within four weeks. To prevent us from handing data to the wrong person, we may ask you to make your request from the email address associated with your account.

8Security

Traffic with this site is encrypted. Logging in works without a password: you receive a one-time link that is valid for fifteen minutes and then expires. Access to your files runs through temporary, unguessable links; you never receive a direct reference to our storage.

9Complaints

If you disagree with the way we handle your data, please tell us first — then we can resolve it together. If we cannot work it out with you, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens), or with the supervisory authority of the country where you live.
